Q. What is the deadline for LOI submission? |
A. There is no deadline for Letters of Intent. |
Q. How long should the Letter of Intent be? |
A. One page, and it must be on your Letterhead. |
Q. What is the range of amounts of your grants? |
A. $5,000 to $3,000,000. Round the amount to the nearest $1,000. |
Q. When will I know if my LOI has been accepted? |
A. Within a few business days. |
Q. Our office is in someone's home. Is that OK? |
A. It depends. Contact us with your specifics. |
Q. What is the deadline for Application submission? |
A. 30 days from the day of invitation, or 30 days before the meeting, by Noon Arizona time on that day, whichever comes first. (Refer to our Calendar) |
Q. How long should the Application narrative be? Is there a specific format? |
A. Short enough to read and understand in 5 minutes. No set format so long as required information is included. |
Q. We do not have an audit. Is that OK? |
A. Yes. Just include a note in the App that says so. |
Q. Which officer should sign the financials? |
A. Any officer. |
Q. Our audit/tax return is almost ready. Should we wait or send an older version? |
A. Send the older version but always include current internal financials covering the period from the end of the audit/tax return through the current date. |
Q. We have several programs in mind. Which is best? |
A. It is best to present the program with the most need or that you are most passionate about. The need and passion will be evident in your proposal. |
Q. We would like to meet with your officers/board. |
A. Unless your request is for $1M or more, we would prefer an email. |
Q. Is it possible to receive feedback on the decision to decline our LOI or Application? |
A. No. Policies prohibit us from providing any information about decisions - PLEASE DO NOT ASK. |
Q. When will I know if my Application has been approved? |
A. Within a few business days. Usually the day after the meeting. |
Q. How are the checks sent? |
A. Checks are mailed registered with return receipt requested. |
Q. Who will the checks be made out to? |
A. Checks are made payable to the name on your IRS Determination Letter. |
Q. What if the name or address on my IRS Determination Letter is not current? |
A. Call the IRS at 1-877-829-5500 and ask for a new letter with current information. |
Q. Our grant request is for $500,000 or greater, requiring multiple installment payments. How many installment payments will be made? |
A. The number of payments will be determined on a case by case basis by our CFO. |
Q. Should the information entered in the 'Other Funding' area of Application form be related to the proposed project only, or the organization as a whole? |
A. The information entered in this area should reflect funding requested and received/confirmed for proposed project only. |
